If you are having trouble sending or receiving email, it
could be because your email client (outlook) is not configured correctly. Please
make sure your connection settings are correct.
Server addresses
Incoming mail (pop3): mail.example.com
Outgoing mail (smtp):
mail.example.com
(Replace example.com with your domain name)
Outgoing Authentication
If you can send internal emails, but receive a “Relaying
Denied” error when sending messages to other domains, e.g. example@yahoo.com,
you will need to enable Outgoing Authentication. Please refer to the Outlook
setup instructions below. See “My Outgoing Mail Server Requires Authentication”.
Anti-Virus/Firewall
All too often, a locally installed Anti-Virus software or
firewall is to blame for unreliable and failed email transmission. If you
believe your Anti-Virus/Firewall software may be causing your issue, it may be a
good idea to briefly disable it and try sending/receiving your email. If you are
using a free software, it may be a good idea to upgrade to a business-grade
solution. GraphicsTech recommends
Norton AntiVirus.
Spam Filter
Nearly all email hosted by GraphicsTech is filtered for
spam and viruses. Our Versa Raptor system eliminates over 98% of junk email and
has a false positive rate of about 0.03%. If most messages are being received
but you believe you may be missing a few, you can log-in to the spam filter
website to investigate or customize your settings. You will also receive a daily
quarantine report via email when potentially legitimate messages have been
flagged as spam.
Create a Spam Filter log-in
1. Open http://myspamblocker.graphicstech.com in your web browser.
2. Click the "Forgot your Password?" link.
3. Enter your email address and click Send.
4. Your password will be emailed to you immediately.
Using the password that was emailed, you can now login at:
http://myspamblocker.graphicstech.com
Click the Run Query
button to review messages received. Any message not labeled “Clean” was
rejected/Quarantined and not delivered. If you find a legitimate message, you
can choose to deliver it or whitelist the sender (whitelisting will cause all
future messages from the sender to be delivered without being checked for spam
content).
